At Mountain Peak Elementary, we foster a nurturing, inclusive, and challenging learning environment where we encourage and empower all children to achieve their highest potential through academic excellence, creativity, and strong character.

Two Strong Schools. One Shared Future.

Mountain Peak Elementary opens in Fall 2026 as the result of the consolidation of Heritage Elementary and Summit View Elementary. Approved by the Douglas County School District Board of Education in December 2025, Mountain Peak brings together two established communities into one shared campus in Highlands Ranch.

This transition allows us to:

  • Strengthen and expand academic and enrichment programming
  • Sustain full-time specials teachers and broaden offerings
  • Increase access to student support services
  • Expand specialized programming, including Significant Support Needs (SSN), ELD, and Gifted and Talented
  • Grow preschool programming to better meet community needs

Before- and after-school care (BASE) will continue to be available for families.
