School Accountability Committee

The Mountain Peak Elementary School Accountability Committee meets multiple times throughout the school year to focus on efforts to improve our school climate, create and monitor a yearly school-wide improvement plan, and discuss other topics regarding the success of Mountain Peak Elementary.

If you are interested in applying or would like more information about SAC at Mountain Peak, please email Katie Lawson, our principal. Voting for the new SAC committee will take place in August 2026.

In Colorado, it is a statutory requirement for every school to have a School Accountability Committee (SAC). The SAC is an advisory committee, not a governing body, that advises the principal on school performance, budget priorities and parental engagement.
